iPhoneDogs IPhone Owners Are Dogs: SurveyRetrevo, a website that calls itself the “ultimate electronics marketplace,” took a look at iPhone owners. It tried to determine an iPhone user’s personality profile. One thing’s clear: in terms of dating, iPhone users are dogs.

Why is that? Well, One in three iPhone owners has texted or emailed their significant other to break up. That’s pretty lame, isn’t it.

Other interesting statistics about iPhone users:

  • In terms of attractiveness, iPhone owners preferred gadgets over a college degree three to one.
  • One in three iPhone owners find out-of-date gadgets to be a turnoff.
  • One in five iPhone owners admits to frequently watching “adult material” on their iPhones. (Twice as many as BlackBerry owners).
  • 25% of iPhone users have broken up with their partner because that person spent too much time on their mobile device.
  • iPhone owners are more likely to see themselves as media buffs, extroverts, and intellectuals, when compared to other cell phone users.

Obviously, this isn’t a non-scientific survey, and all in good phone. Somehow, I don’t doubt the “texting to break-up” answer, though.

It’s a little early, since the Motorola Droid just launched today, but it would be interesting to see what those owners would answer to these same questions.
