After Windows 7 RC download released, Microsoft also released Virtual PC software for Windows 7 RC. This Windows virtual PC provides the capability to run multiple Windows environments such as Windows XP Mode from your Windows 7 desktop.

However, there is certain condition to run virtual PC and Windows XP mode on Windows 7 desktop, your computers processor must have and turn on the Intel Virtualization Technology or AMD-V feature first before running virtualization on Windows 7. This CPU virtualization technology feature can be enabled in the system BIOS. For details on how to enable, visit the Configure BIOS page or check with your computer manufacturer.

1 GHz 32bit or 64bit processor or better
CPU w/ AMD-V or Intel VT features turned on
2 GB of memory recommended
Additional 15GB of hard disk space per virtual Windows environment recommended
